Dairy and livestock farmers are invited to visit two farms on Wednesday, Aug. 15, to discuss fly control for livestock on pasture using integrated pest management practices for conventional and organic farms.
The first stop will be at 10 a.m. at DoPar Farm at 5017 Gill Road, in Morrisville. Ken Wise, livestock and field crops integrated pest management educator for Cornell Cooperative Extension of Madison County, will lead the discussion on techniques for conventional dairy operations.
The second discussion will begin at 11 a.m. at Busyroad Acres at 4875 Swamp Road, in Morrisville, and will center on fly control for certified organic farms.
